Palms Up
Overview
Palms Up supported young Palm Islanders and their community to showcase their unique culture.
The project involved workshops and product development in traditional and contemporary arts, craft, design, film and music.
The project aimed to:
- Create and support a positive and safe space for young people to tell their stories and interact with positive role models.
- Provide opportunities for young people to create and showcase product, skills and talent that they and their elders and community could be proud of.
Palms Up culminated in a community festival that featured both local and nationally renowned artists and performers
