Creative Pathways

Creative Pathways (in the Central West) aims to develop young people’s skills in creative industries, enterprise development, and event production, opening up career pathways in the region.

The Creative Pathways initiative involves supporting young people to explore creative and viable learning, career and industry development opportunities in areas such as design, performance, film, event coordination, and festival management.

Out of Creative Pathways, local young people have conceived, developed and delivered the Shockwave Festival 2009 and 2010.

Current Creative Pathways programming includes creative workshops and the planning and production of the Shockwave  Festival 2011.

Mentoring and support for start-up creative enterprises are the developmental strategies for the next stage of the program.
