Amy’s experience in the creative field is both wide and colourful. Her pursuit of creative endeavours began practicing darkroom and commercial photography. She later spent 2 years living abroad in Bogota Colombia, where she became an assistant director and curator at Galeria Casa Negret. The position involved liaising with international clientele and working alongside celebrated Colombian sculptor Edgar Negret, until his death in 2012.
While completing her BA in Communication Design at Billy Blue College of Design, Amy continued to freelance on small personalised projects as well as undertake a six month intensive internship at wayfinding design studio, Dotdash.
Amy’s specialty is focused on human centred and user experience design. She implements these practices and theories into her own process, designing specifically for the needs and views of the user. Continuing to further her knowledge in these areas, Amy has completed a Human Centered Design course developed by Acumen and IDEO and is currently in the process of completing post graduate studies in user experience design.
Amy has a passion for collecting strange and fascinating objects from her travels abroad. Her wider interests include illustration, origami and textile arts. She also has a deep love of film, particularly Mexican cinema.
