Karrina Nolan
Program Coordinator – Stylin UP Regional
Karrina Nolan is of Irish and Yorta Yorta descent, and is inspired by the social change work of her ancestors.
Karrina is an experienced activist, organiser and community cultural development facilitator with 15 years experience working for social justice and transformation.
She has worked with a range of community initiatives, including women’s services and environmental justice groups. In recent years, Karrina coordinated the Fairwear Campaign, a national network working to achieve wage justice for home-based garment workers; with Contact Inc., she coordinated Laydeez Biz (a hip hop cultural skills development program with young Murri women) and the HOPE Tour (a hip hop theatre show with young people from diverse cultural backgrounds).
Karrina currently coordinates the Regional Stylin’ UP Regional program, working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and communities using creative practice to develop Pride in Self, Pride in Community, Pride in Culture.
