James Alley

Designer

James graduated in 2000 from the QCA with a Bachelor of design. Almost immediately he began working at Billabong on the Gold Coast. For the next 6 years he thoroughly enjoyed designing advertising campaigns, illustrating apparel graphics, creating logos, posters, flyers, packages, signs and the occasional tattoo.

Living and working in London during 2006/07, James balanced his time traveling through Europe, studying oil painting at St Martins College, exhibiting art, looking at art, eating sandwiches and designing on a freelance basis for advertising agencies, design studios, clothing brands and the occasional Arabian Prince.

James strongly values relationship and community and really likes working at Human where these values become tangible projects.

When not spending time with his beautiful wife and daughter, James paints and draws. He has exhibited in Brisbane, The Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and London. His work has been featured in Artillery, Chick, and Clay Magazine.
