Roshan Gunewardene

Finance Manager

Born in Sri Lanka, Roshan has worked in various organisations and countries. In Sri Lanka he worked for Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants as a trainee accountant and progressed towards a Senior Management role.

Roshan was involved in setting up an overseas Branch of Ernst & Young in the Republic of Maldives and was appointed as the country Manager for five years. He then returned to Sri Lanka and worked in a medical equipment trading company as the General Manager.

In 2004, Roshan moved to New Zealand and worked in Finance, Business Development and Tax consulting roles in Manufacturing, Construction and Service sectors. He moved to Australia in 2008 and has been with SpeakOut (now Human) since May 2009.

Roshan is a CPA and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK. He is currently President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Queensland branch).

Being a sports fanatic he has the advantage of supporting three different countries depending on how good they are in each sport. He also loves to travel and spend time with his family.
