Becky Bligh

Project Support Officer

Becky is a descendant of the Gungurri peoples on her mother’s side and the Wakka Wakka/Kullili peoples on her father’s side.

In 2005 Becky graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of International Hotel and Tourism Management degree which led her toward further study.

In 2008, Becky completed an arts administration course and was fortunate to be placed with Human Ventures and become exposed to the Stylin’ UP Regional Program.

Following her placement Becky was successful in staying on with the company and is currently employed in a full time capacity as the Project Officer on the Stylin’ UP Regional Program responsible for youth projects in regional communities throughout Queensland. This work has provided Becky with an opportunity to work directly with young people from these communities and increase her skills in developing, planning and co-ordinating local and cultural events.
